The Vancouver Guild of Puppetry is a chartered guild of the Puppeteers of America. VGOP was founded on May 22, 1968 with the purpose to improve, promote and stimulate the art of puppetry in all its aspects through performances and education for adults and children.

Vancouver Guild of Puppetry Meeting!

Do you like puppetry but don't know where to learn more about it? Are you an aspiring puppeteer who wishes to become more involved? Do you want to share your ideas or hear new ones?

Join us in our renewed puppetry guild and bring all your questions, suggestions and contributions to the table.

We are encouraging Youth through to adults to come and find out about this fun and exciting Guild.

The meetings are open to both members and non-members.  Our first meeting was very successful and looking forward to meeting more at this next meeting.  Come and see all the talent and enthusiasim in our community.

Bring a puppet if you want! 

We will be meeting in the Conference Room at the Bonsor Community Centre.

VGOP is a chartered guild of Puppeteers of America and part of the Pacific Northwest region which includes Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, British Columbia & Alberta. The guild publishes a quarterly newsletter and maintains this site as part of it's ongoing purpose to promote puppetry in the Lower Vancouver Mainland and the Province of British Columia, Canada.

 

The Vancouver Guild of Puppetry site endeavors to offer it's members and puppetry lovers in Vancouver Lower Mainland puppet related sources by:

  • Offering all VGOP members a web page where they can post the information about their puppetry endeavors and advertise for free their shows and workshops.
  • Compiling current information about events, performances and workshops, as well as other new information related to puppetry in a timely manner.
  • Enabling potential clients to source out a puppeteer of their choice by reviewing member pages.
  • Sharing our knowledge and experience with each other and our audiences.
  • Distribution of the VGOP newsletter, Puppetry Potpourri, through our e-mailing list.
